Play Counter-Strike for Cash!

Martin Henriksson, from Gaming Eye has informed me of a a new gaming system, due for official launch on Friday the 21st of September, called DayGamer. This site will enable people and clans to challenge each other and game for real money, enabling players that don’t make it to competitions like CPL to make money on gaming and in a sense become ‘Pro-gamers’.

For instance, if Clan A challenges Clan B and both clans agree on betting $1 each, the money they bet will go to a pool. When the game is over, the winning clan will receive the $2 dollar pool, minus a 5% profit that goes to Daygamer.

Apparently the DayGamer system is fully integrated with the games which mean that everything is controlled by automatic. Money is immediately transferred to the winner after the game and all the rankings are updated correctly. The servers which the clans play on can easily be booked thru an Internet interface.

For the release on Friday the Daygamer system will only support Counter-Strike but support for other games like Quake III Arena are already in progress.

Martin has also uncovered some inside info:

"Daygamer is maintained by a Swedish company that has over 10 persons assigned to the project. Four of these are self gamers and their main goal is to make sure Daygamer is what gamers expect. And there are some really big hotshots in the board of the company, some people from big international gaming companies, but I don’t know their names, yet! =)"

For more information read their FAQ. And remember you heard it at UKTerrorist first.
