madSpunk: Hi my name is madSpunK, I am clan leader of Lastchance, a counterstrike team.

sol: Hi im kaj aka sol. Im 18 years old and playing CS for Lastchance. Oh, and I'm dutch.

madSpunk: Right, so the team was initially going to start as a 9 man squad as many people didn't know about. Myself, sol, song, stannly, arak, wolf, pathfinder, hitman and emfive. Before our launch we cut the team down to 7, as Pathy and Wolf decided not to play for us in the end. Then Hitman left due to work commitments and we were down to an active squad of 6. This squad stayed the same for about 4 months, however soon after we added m0rph to our team from omg!, who played in UKLA with Stannly and Arak so they were all good buddies. However after UKT Bath, our line-up has changed again. Emfive left us due to some problems we had with him in the team and we recruited Black3y who was a sound fella at Bath, so now we have an active 6 line-up with me inactive for a month doing exams.

sol: Note - I'm back in the team, unlike the posts on some websites described.

madSpunk: Well we're looking for a way to attract more sponsors, we want to attend as many lans as we can and get decent bootcamp time somewhere. We haven't managed to bootcamp at all yet :(. We hope to win more LANs, basically. Oh, and get into EuroCup!

sol: Our main focus is on attending as much LANs as possible. To achieve that we need some way to fund for the travel and accomodation, and we'll do anything to get to that point.

madSpunk: Depends really on if we can get a sponsor to help us for lan travels. For the last event, I spent around £80 to attend out of my own pocket, and at Northampton £60 :( I'm now a tramp and eat off dustbins.

sol: Also depends if 4K are attending more of the UKT lans.

madSpunk: We will attend where there is sufficient competition.

sol: And if theres money, I'm poor.

madSpunk: And dutch.

madSpunk: My favourite game had to be against Xtra.uk, they had recently beat omg! so we knew we all had to play well to get past them. We managed to play our cards right, make no mistakes and put out a solid victory against a very good team. Shoutout to Zaggy :x.

madSpunk: We weren't sure whether to enter this league but as we had nothing else to do we did, we like playing online leagues they keep us going and we like performing :) I think the biggest threat will be err... DkS or Xtra. We're good friends with DkS so it should be a laugh :)

sol: CS-Marines will be tough, as well as our Spanish buddy's DkS (Hi Toni!)

madSpunk: We got the same problem, money money money. We have none so it's hard for us to go to lans. We are also not a multigaming team so sponsors are even harder to find, we hopefully might be able to land something soon with our recent UKT results... time will tell.

sol: We're all poor and looking for some proper help with it. Last LAN I believe Anisty from XGSports helped us a lot with the funding of the event.

madSpunk: There's quite a few leagues, but many of the top clans don't compete in them e.g. ONE, omg!, 4Kings. I guess they don't take online that seriously, we do. Online for us is just as good as any lan practice, and we will compete in as many leagues as we can. We are currently in BWCSL and CSGN.

sol: UKT makes sure there are enough LANs at the moment. If there were more, we couldnt attend because of the money problem. But we'll definately be at the main ones with 4k/omg! and perhaps ONE attending.

madSpunk: UKT is really bringing us forward in terms of lans, as a lot of quality teams are going to them to compete, it can only get better.

sol: Imminent is doing nicely with the support they get from company's. At the moment we can only dream about these deals but hopefully we can get some similiar support in the next couple of months.

madSpunk: Well a lot of clans now a days are sponsored by some company or another, they have sponsored servers, bouncers, webspace... all useful. But most UK clans lack one thing, and thats lan travel sponsorship.
