Interview with ONE|Iccy
Hello Iccy, for those who don't know you can you please give an introduction of yourself and your job in ONE.
I'm Matt Milhench, 22 years old from Stoke-on-Trent, I am manager of clanONE.
What does the manager job involve? How do you support and help the clan?
A lot of dealing with our current sponsors, less looking for sponsors right now, just keeping our currents ones happy and up to date. Sorting team finances and expenses, dealing with equipent and posting on anything I am sent from sponsors. Also simple things like helping get the lads to LAN events as they don't drive yet. Occasionally I arrange games, but the players tend to like to do that more themselves.
Recently AcolyTe left ONE then less than a week later Righteous quit CS and then DArk0r left ONE, how has this affected ONE?
Um well, Acolyte did leave but he hadn't been an active member of the team for a while so although he was a good player and I appreciated his time in ONE it didn't adversely affect anything major. When Righteous left it was a major blow, because he's been the CL and ever-present since the very beginning. Dark0r I don't want to go into, he made up some excuse to fob us off I guess. He joined I-eS and left us in the shit, that's all I'll say. I like Paul, he's a nice bloke, I just don't understand how he could leave his friends in the shit the way he did.
With those three players gone now, can we expect the new ONE line-up to be announced anytime soon?
Righteous' inactivtivity lasted long then :p, along with that I was under the impression Strikes left due to being to inactive, will he be a lot more active now?
Not sure what the deal is myself really, I've not been around a lot recently with work, truth is I don't know so cant really give an answer.
Linh featured in the EuroCup qualifier match vs. omg!, what happened with him?
I honestly don't know, like I say I've been working a lot and I'm not kept informed.
Alright then fair dos. Your line-up for the upcoming UKT event will be Kid, Keiju, Righteous, Strikes and KhAoS correct? What sort of position are you looking to come out with?
Not sure of the lineup yet, the main competition are I-eS who have a strong lineup, would be nice to beat them but we have to sort ourselves first, then worry about that.
Ok then, moving on, you lost to omg! in the EuroCup qualifier, is it fair to say you weren't at full strength? Do you feel with the full team ONE would of won the game?
I'd like to have said yes, but WCG proved that you can't go assuming things like that, we'll never know.
Will it be one of ONE's goals to be invited to next season's EuroCup or is it just an extra bonus?
Of course yes wed like to be invited, hopefully a good run in the opencup and some solid LAN performances will help us with that.
