So first off, tell our audience who you are

NiP-HeatoN - I'm Emil "HeatoN" Christensen, a 17 year old guy from Stockholm / Sweden

When I mention your name to various CS players throughout the world, people tend to think of various things such as 'Superman', 'living aimbot etc. Any idea why such names and sentences might be associated with you?

NiP-HeatoN - Oh I guess I've played good in some cpl games, and maybe thats why :)

Yeah, I guess so, over here in the UK u seem to be especially famous as a result of your CPL actions, any idea why that is?

NiP-HeatoN - Yes, probably that eco round vs 4k @ aztec :)

Have you had the chance to check this out the avi 'HeatoN the movie' video on noc website yet?

NiP-HeatoN - hehe yeah I was that one, love the music :D

Take us through that from your point of view one step at a time. You're camping *pfft* by the water on aztec...

NiP-HeatoN - ...3 terros jump out infront of me, I shoot the first guy whit like 5 usp shots, then the second guy with 3-4 usp headshots , then I pick up his ak and spray out the third guy, hear someone at the door, throws a granade at him and runs up the ramp, then I know someone are at the bridge area and see a pixel of him and shoot 2-3 bullets, and turn around and shoot the 5th guy at the door whit 2-3 bullets :)

At what stage did you think you might win the round all by yourself?

NiP-HeatoN - When I took out the 3 first guys, I love using ak at long distance :D

Those last 2 headshots... well... are awesome - sheer class, perhaps your 2 best shots ever?

NiP-HeatoN - hehe yeah at least the first one since it was a pure reflex shot after i saw like 0.01 mm of him :)

Does it come as a surprise to you at all when most of the CS world label you as the best CS player in the world? Do you think you are the best?

NiP-HeatoN - I'm not sure, people always look at the nicest frags and most frags, but if you frag the most you dont have to be the best, so it dosent really suprice me sience I frag alot. I don't think I am the best player, potti are no doubt :)

What about NiP, do you believe they're the best CS clan in the world?

NiP-HeatoN - Yes, since we are world champions, and got the guy who made GoL came third at cpl back ( Xeqtr ) I believe we are :)

Ah, au contraire, the CPL official world rankings has NiP firmly placed at no.2 behind X3. Does the fact you beat them twice and are still placed 2nd bother you?

NiP-HeatoN - I really don't care about it, since we proved that we are the best clan in the world in CPL WC.

How did you rate the American clans at the CPL, X3 were surely close to NiP's standards?

NiP-HeatoN - They are for sure the best clan we have ever met, but we sucked in the final so I dont think they are "surely close" to nip standards.

Why did you suck in the finals? $50,000 suddenly get a few nerves jingling?

NiP-HeatoN - hehe I know why I sucked, not much sleep and hadn't event ate brakefast that day, since our sponsors didnt give us the money the promised us :(

Must've been an expensive breakfeast if you needed sponsors to pay for it :), why didn't they cover your expenses?

NiP-HeatoN - We run out of money the day before, we were supposed to get pocket money by our sponsors, but didnt get anything, so ppl had to pay everything them self, and we didnt bring that money since we were supposed to get it all from our sponsors, I really dont know why they didnt cover our expenses, (just 1 sponsors that didnt pay).

Good thing you got your return plane ticket beforehand eh? So after winning the CPL I assume you got your $10,000 share of NiP's winnings, what have/will you spend the money on?

NiP-HeatoN - I'm gonna go on a holiday trip :)

Ooohh... anywhere nice?

NiP-HeatoN - Like flordia or something :D

Ok, moving on, how often to you practice and how?

NiP-HeatoN - With the team we prac like 2 times a day / 2 maps each time and before cpl event we play like all day in lan for 1 week :)

What about on your own? Are rumours of 10 hours a day true?

NiP-HeatoN - huuums sometimes, I don't play public that much anymore, just gathers :D but like 5- 10 hours , yes :)

So, ermm... what do you do for fun? And do you go to college or anything?

NiP-HeatoN - I study at like "college", and I love watch football, and travel :D

Have you ever signed an autograph?

Yes, once @ CPL WC :)

And is there a 'special lady' in your life at the moment?

NiP-HeatoN - yes there is a special someone.

Nice :D, does being a CPL CS world champion have girls lined up outside your door?

NiP-HeatoN - hehe no, not really :)

How famous are you in Sweden in real life? How big is pro-gaming out there?

NiP-HeatoN - Gaming are really big here, and ppl says the like saw you on like the subway ect, and we have been on TV to times, but its not like everybody know who you are then you go out :)

Looking into the immediate future, CS 1.4, have you tried it?

NiP-HeatoN - I seen Ahl try it , but I havent tested it myself :)

If you had been playing CS 1.4 during that 4k game you couldn't of taken out all 5 4k players, jumping stagger would've messed up your usp kangerooing skills.

NiP-HeatoN - yes i know :D *lucky me* :D

Looking more into the distant future, do you ever see a time where you can live only off gaming?

NiP-HeatoN - Yeah I think we in nip can live on gaming VERY soon, so yes pro-gaming = really close now.

Ooh...how soon?

NiP-HeatoN - In a couple of months, let say before summer for sure :)

Sounds great, pity you wasted about 12 years of your life sitting in classrooms eh?

NiP-HeatoN - Well, at least I got a lot of knowledge from school, that are great in life :), and if I can't live of gaming for ever, it might be good to have gone to school :)

How much longer do you think NiP will be the top CS clan? When your at the top you can only go down...

NiP-HeatoN - Well not for a while, since we all are very focused on what to do to still be the nr 1 clan

How stable is it inside the NiP camp? You lost Vesslan recently, amid rumours of money issues, can you explain what happened?

NiP-HeatoN - Its very stable now inside nip, since we all 6 are great friends, both on the internet and in real life. The money didnt have anything to do why he got kicked, read our statement to get all the facts.

Infinity eSports | Wright - How much does score dictate how well you are playing?

NiP-HeatoN - Scores don't say everything but it says a bit, but you can get a lot of eco frags too, and play really bad :)

ki55 - Why do you never use an awp?

NiP-HeatoN - hehe I think the weapon is kinda lame, but I used it in the nations cup final vs. Germany :)

Uninspired | Toomy - How much fun was that eco round against 4k

NiP-HeatoN - The funniest round ever in my life :D

ki55 - Your style seems to differ from other pro CS players, you seem to spray more than pick off headshots - would you agree?

NiP-HeatoN - Well I spray a lot, but I burst a lot for heads too, its a mix style whit spray and burst :)

ki55 - What do you believe are the main differences between the way CS is played in Europe and the USA? I've been told by some top American clan leaders that their CS gameplay is more AWP based, as opposed to European CS which is more colt/ak based - would u agree with that?

NiP-HeatoN - Yes I really would, Americans are overall better then us with the awp, so I think they build a lot of there game on it.

f-e.fluid - What players do you have respect for?

NiP-HeatoN - A lot of players, but I have this one player I hate to play, and thats potti :D

f-e.fluid - What do you think of UK CS clans at the moment?

NiP-HeatoN - The UK are a really good CS country, and there are some top clans there.

Anyway, I'm not sure how familiar you are with my UKTerrorist interviews, but they all require a special 'ukterrorist.com scoop' so tell me something no-one else knows about nip :)

NiP-HeatoN - Maybe this is mean against Cogline from nordic division, but like the guy who get the least frags, get called Line Like xline, heatline becouse cogline didnt get any frags while he where in nip :D. Thats like really secret ;D

And finally, anything u wanna say to the heaton wannabe's reading this?

NiP-HeatoN - I wanna say THX to some special people for being there, you know who you are :)

You just need to look at the fact that 8 of the top 12 at the CPL worlds were European. That's a very high rate considering the starting ratio of US to Euro clans that took part, and the fact that the tournament was in the US so alot of Euro clans couldn't make it. I mean really... do you think the players from X3 have devoted there lifes to CS? I doubt it... I assume most of them are still in school. Sounds to me like the EU clans are a just a little more hardcore then NA right now. Or what do you think its something that Europeans eat that makes them better? Please... no nationality has an advantage. In the same sense nobody should deny that Europe produces the best CS players. The reason is not what you eat of course but the subtle differences in the environments in which you play obviously are. Hence the general high ability of the nordic clans, good ability of german clans and lower ability of uk clans. You just need to look at the fact that 8 of the top 12 at the CPL worlds were European. That's a very high rate considering the starting ratio of US to Euro clans that took part, and the fact that the tournament was in the US so alot of Euro clans couldn't make it. I mean really... do you think the players from X3 have devoted there lifes to CS? I doubt it... I assume most of them are still in school. Sounds to me like the EU clans are a just a little more hardcore then NA right now. Or what do you think its something that Europeans eat that makes them better? Please... no nationality has an advantage. In the same sense nobody should deny that Europe produces the best CS players. The reason is not what you eat of course but the subtle differences in the environments in which you play obviously are. Hence the general high ability of the nordic clans, good ability of german clans and lower ability of uk clans.
