DkH Interview
I'm joined by two members of Clan DkH (Winners of Eurocup IV); Celebrator and BurningDeath.
Please tell me a little bit about who you are, where you come from, how long you have been playing CS and in what clans you have been?
DkH|Cele: I am David Möller aka Celebrator, 19 years old and I am from Osnabrueck, playin CS since the beta 2 and were in clans like D@B, eternity, exhale and then DkH.
DkH|Burnie: I am Maurice Engelhardt aka BurningDeath , 18 years old, I live in Germany in a town called Giessen. It’s near Frankfurt. I play cs since 5.2. My past clans aren’t very famous: Teamz 2000, @Crew, Long Finger Clan, Gamers Associated and DkH :)
Most people already know DkH as a great CS clan. But could you also tell me a little bit about your history?
DkH|Burnie: First there was LkH called Lüneburgs kranke Horde, one of the first clans in germany. They played CS since beta 1 in Lan . They became a strict Lan clan, reached the top 3 in germany and had some of the best players. Then some members decided to play the internet and starting to make Lan tournaments… They recruited some guys from all over Germany, so they called the internet clan DkH : Deutschlands kranke Horde. After a time LkH and DkH really became different clans. DkH played only on internet, and on Lan as Jubo. Now DkH is a top-clan in Germany, and the members also play during Lans. Since about 4 months, we got more squads: broodwar, Unreal Tournament (inactive atm), Fifa and Tactical Ops.
So, what have been your greatest success?
DkH|Cele: EC4! :P
DkH|Burnie: Eurocup 4 was one of the greatest… Since EC IV we've trained a lot and we have increased our skill.
And which is the next big lan-event you will attend with your team?
DkH|Cele: CPL Cologne.
Ok, Eurocup V, you started with impressive wins against good clans. You guys beat Sk.de (32 - 16), dNc (38 - 10), etc…. What do you guys think was the main reason for those nice matches. Was it just plain old practice, good skill, tactics or a combination of these?
DkH|Cele: Always combination. Our taccies were a bit old, but they still worked :) We will come up with new ones at CPL, that’s for sure!
DkH|Burnie: Hope so! ;)
That brings me to my next question, how often do you practice and how?
DkH|Burnie: Before some important events we train a lot (around 5 times a week).
DkH|Cele: Well, 5 times a week if everything goes well… which is often not the case :)
What are your goals for this cup? And how do you plan to realize them?
DkH|Cele: Sure we want to defend our title as European Champions. But first of all we have to reach the Lan Final to semi-final. That would indeed be great, just one more match to win, if and how we want to realize our goals depends on the team we have to play against at quarter-finals.
What do you think about the Clanbase Crew ? Any wishes or suggestions?
DkH|Cele: Retail back :)
DkH|Cele: The reports in last time were bit short and undetailed, seemed like there is no interest in it anymore ;(
And the last question about EC V: Who do you think will be in the EC5 LAN finals? :)
DkH|Cele: Unsure about that... Anything can happen, hope we will be there of course, but to make a prediction; NiP if they get their team back, but then there a about 8 clans also havin the stuff to make it.
Do you believe NiP are the best CS clan in the world?
DkH|Cele: No! :)
DkH|Cele: Well...
DkH|Burnie: I think you can't say « best cs clans in the world » … It’s Counter-Strike.
DkH|Cele: If there could be one, then it would be NiP. But ... it's all about having the right moment and harmony in the clan :=). By the way, this looks nice.
Indeed, you're just behind NiP … Do you all play on public servers? Or is it just all pcws?
DkH|Burnie: Look at my demo ;). Sometimes I play on public, but most of time I play with other dkh-members on our server to improve our skill a little bit or to get new ideas for tactics...
The common view nowadays amongst gamers is that pro-gaming is a myth and that sponsors are impossible to come by. What is your opinion about that?
DkH|Cele: Sponsors are reachable... but you have to put hard work in it. We're on to getting deal... but nothing sure yet. =)
Good luck! What do you think about Condition Zero?
DkH|Burnie: I don't know anything about it :) I let it all come over me before I get my opinion.
DkH|Cele: CZ is a nice idea... nothin more I think.
Have you tried CS 1.4?
DkH|Burnie: Yeah, I tried it.
And what're your opinions about it? :]
DkH|Burnie: I think the « silent-walking » with tipping the key all the time was good but holding it all the time sucks … The pistols are also too bad now.
DkH|Cele: Better than 1.3... since all the jumpin is eliminated... only bad about tippin to stay silent aint possible anymore.
DkH|Burnie: I think AWP is too easy in 1.3 and also in 1.4 :)
Maybe you aren't so interested by the CS-scene in UK, but I'm wondering what you think of UK CS clans?
DkH|Burnie: I don't know the CS-scene in UK very well... But I know Infinity eSports :) They’re very friendly, and they’re also one of the most fair clans I’ve ever seen.
DkH|Cele: In PCWs they always kick ass.
DkH|Burnie: They were a little unlucky during EC IV though, they lost 2 games with 1 round ;/
And here is my last question: Do you like UKTerrorist.com? (Remember, answering this question in a wrong way may accidentally make my finger slip over the delete button) :D
DkH|Burnie: Don't know it... *duck+take knife+camp behind the next corner* :)
DkH|Cele: UKT ownz :) I read it every day!

DkH|Cele: No... to be honest... I have UKT in my favorite list and visit it sometimes because it’s a good international scene page :)
