'what p***es me off is how our clan has been on the verge of folding because of being dicked by some random unheard of clan.
i don't like seeing my clan mates (and myself) SO wound up about how much of a waste of time CS is... and on the verge of giving up because, either we're getting s*** and getting dicked on... or little kiddy clans are wasting our time by cheating against us.'

In fact my clan (#epoch .uk) were practicing VERY hard for that 1 individual official match knowing it would be hard playing a well respected and decent clan in the uk cs scene, and hopefully a win would get us known. Because of all the flaming we got because of our suspected 'cheat' in the clan dbr i did say i wouldnt play him in any online match until after i19 seeing how well he does and depending on the outcome whether he stays in the clan or not. Unfortunatly i was obiously wrong, from what i heard on irc pm's from friends we config, or cheat or whatever you say we are, just because were known. Infact i have proberly been playing the game for just as long as anyone in unicon, 3 1/2 years in fact and what with that individual experiance of myself and the clan members in epoch and the preperation for the game being 3 pcws a night + an hour on tactics for a week then during the half term at least 10 matches a day together(yes im still at school im 15. - kiddie clan or what not you shout at me now(im actually the youngest in the clan), but i dont really care tbh, i proberly play the game ALOT more than any of you reading now which gives me alot more practice.. not alot more time to download the latest meta or config, as i play the game fairly, as i hope youv seen how we delt with the dbr situation what with him being a mate and telling us that he can do it all exactly the same on lan, we felt that everyone deserves a chance.. right?) we as a clan have been together along time also, having alot of history in a clan before epoch, it was infact team.mind in that team we all knew we had the aims and individual skill but never the tactics. So we folded, but a few weeks later being approched by the same guys in team mind to reform under the name ao 'advanced online' we did so recruiting a 5 man solid team with dbr as a inactive backup. We got the tactics sorted and started practicing heavily, then forming with a .nl side named #epoch mainly for sponsorship deals and also help out in game with tactics etc, we found this being a very smart move helping us in preperation with the unicon game.
This proberly is a load of crap to most random people but it ment alot to me. Ill proberly get flamed at knowing what you lot are like but im sure life goes on. I just feel that we have been cheated out of something that we worked very hard for, instead we get pointed at and abused - we dont want to be named as a smiles#2 as a member from Choke said to us after a pcw. At the end of the day all i want to do is play a game and maybe get good and known, if that is possible without the big already well known and respected clans making a hatred towards us.
This post didnt mean to offend anyone just to prove our innocence.

Don't assume that a beating another clan once makes you better than them (I'd go as far to say don't assume you're better than anyone, but that's probably impossible). The UniCon team as it stands now has come from nobodies to a well respected clan, so i dont see why you cant if you are a clean clan with nice people. When i joined UniCon which at the time was reSonance, i was the only player who had nay recognition at any competitive lans and was well known amongst the top players in UK. The other guys who are now UniCon: zeLL,StrikeN,Jena^Blist were all highly skilled players who were not proven or well known. I came into this team who had all been playin together for about a year, i saw a lot pof potential and still do in them. And ended up becoming CL and leadind these guys to become the team we are now; ie a well respected top UK clan with a pretty decent lan record. We are still getting better all the time and still have much potential. May you ask whats is the difference between these us and you? Well your answer is none of our guys have ever been caught cheating or suspected, and we are all sound mature guys who dont write little whiny columns on UKT about being hard done to ;-0. We just enjoyed playin, except losses when they came and just play cuz we love playin, that has brought us to where we are today.
On another note i would agree with what alot of the top clans members have been saying on here... the paranoia about unknown clans is really getting out of hand. To a great extent we majorly under estimated you and thought it would be a walk over. But all credit to you guys you played really well, however even though i am myself a very level headed and calm guy when it comes to cs, i found myself getting angry last night. And seeing the column recently on here about configing its made even me quite paranoid. Up and coming clans like yourselves who want to put one over on the so called 'big boyz' could resort to things such as white walls etc in order to give you advantages over them. I am not saying you guys do or did last night; im just stating the paranoia.
I saw an interesting post by my old Obsessive Clan buddy Nazgol comparing the q3 community to the cs one and the whole idea of configging. The whole idea of the CPL Cfg and the idea that top teams who wanna do well on LAN use this config online to is quite funny when you think about it, unlike lan there is no regulatory body or person overseeing what cfg people are using, as the column showed, through a few simple commands people can give themselves major advantages over people who use 'CPL' cfg. The way forward is either the use of these commands is some how disabled all together..or top clans wise up to online play and realise that other teams want to give themselves the best possible chance of winning and so will use such commands if it will help them; if top clans realise this perhaps they will use them to as they desire to give themselves there 'Optimum' playing configuration much like people do on q3.

Ive been playing cs for about 3 years. By no means am i a member of a serious and highly skilled clan. Me and some of my mates just try and gain some fun from pcw's etc. An enterprise which is becoming increasingly difficult with each passing week. If its not kids calling u hackers, its kids calling you nobodies, seemingly too arogent to accept that any1 who hasnt been around since the dawn of time could ever come close to beating them. It seems that rather than give new cs clans a chance, let alone encourage them to get better, they get insulted and patronised.
All of that can be brushed off with a simple 'if you dont like it dont play' response. Which i more than accept. I dont accept that as an excuse for a complete lack of respect for any body else in the universe other than yourself. I dont accept that the community SHOULD be this way, or that it HAS to be. But i do concede that if thats the way it is, and no1 wants it to be any different save me, then maybe i should just f*** off.
However, i have a real problem, an ethical f***ing problem, with people making racist comments and belittling life threating illnesses. Such action originates from the few, but is imitated by those who so desperately want to BE the few. A condition some of u may know of, and indeed suffer from, known as the FANBOY. It seems that rather than have an original f***ing thought in his tiny mind, rather than stand up to some1 with a bigger f***ing mouth than him even when he knows what theyr saying is ethically wrong, he would rather just laugh and copy it.
People. f***ing. died. in ww2 so that YOU have the freedom to express yourself freely. Instead of treat this gift with the respect it deserves you insult it by taking the p*** out of one of the very things they were fighting, such as facism and raccism. wp you. pat yourself on the f***ing back kids. have a gold f***ing star.
People DIE everyday from illnesses such as aids. They die horribly and slowly. Is that funny? serious question. DO YOU THINK THATS FUNNY? i would guess when confronted with it in person, you would say no. I would guess when confronted with it BY some1 irl, you would say no.
I'm sick of people spouting racist s***e on the internet because they get to hide behind a keyboard. Such people only avoid saying these things irl because theyr SCARED of what people might think of them face to face. They have no ethical imperative, just fear.
As far as the soda incident 'e' refered to, i have it on extremely good authority that hes speaking the absolute truth, his clan met with racist biggotry during a match with soda. A mate of mine who was involved in the situation (naming no names), whom i only know via the internet, but i trust, gave an acount of what happened. Its f***ing sick. grow up soda:/
i realise the majority of people reading this are going to flame me. I also know most of you know that what im saying is f***ing right, and your only going to flame me because your scared of standing up to 'decent' cs players that express these biggoted opinions. So i wont be suprised when i get called a geek, or told to f*** off. I just ask that some mother f***er renew my faith in humanity by being honest for a change.

However it is possible to be proved very very wrong, I remember reSonance first coming onto the scene and the first time i had heard of them was when StriKen (who pld in my little brothers clan) joined them. The nxt lan I went to I was told, by some1 within the community who is well respected and plays in a very well known clan, that without a doubt reSonance cheat. Not so long after that they began to attend lans and prove that theyd simply got there with hard work, similar things have happened with Choke ( though ChrisCobra is truely the worst lan player in all existence 8) ). Do your work online first then attend lans to prove it, there's noneed to write columns like this whinging about how you arent accepted as decent, f*** what any1 says, attend a respectable lan and give people a taste of humble pie. - Amen to that, The worst thing is that most ppl just call others jews bcz they think its funny, they dont understand why jews have been descriminated thru history or even why there saying it, its just like a fashion.
