	G\|2E3N \|)r@g()n 22:37 7/7/2001	Personally i think you've got it wrong, i prefer usp soooooo much more over glock because glock is incredibly weak and not as accurate, usp is stronger and more accurate so you don't need the extra 8 shots, you can get 1 shot in the head and get a kill with usp, you can't really do that with glock, its not strong enough. I do agree on tmp though. I do agree on the tie between aug on and sig...yet for some reason i feel more comfortable and do a bit better with the sig. I disagree with the ak over colt(carbine). Colt is more accurate and much more quiet when equipped with sliencer. If there's a battle where you come from behind with Ak then there is 1 guard guarding the back, and you kill with Ak, where do you think the other team is going to go, wheer they heard that shot of course, they aren't dumb(unless they are n00bies of course), if you did the same thing with Colt with sliencer, it's more accurate and they won't hear the shots asd well, it'll blend in perfectly with the othr shots the other team is hearing. Don't get me wrong i love the Ak....just i prefer the Colt anyday...another reason why is because there is SOOO much recoil on teh Ak, and i mean ALOT [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

	BAC 06:33 31/7/2001	TOTALLY AGREE WITH RM. hers my input AUG vs SIG -aug takes a lot longer to reload -aug has less recoil in normal & zoom -aug has the smallest crosshair normal & zoom -looks cooler, "silver things always r0x " -RM COLT vs AK -Colt's silencer -AK's crosshair decreases in size faster -AK's diection of recoil seems to make it go straight up, while Colt's recoil moves around a lot more -cheaper -AK very loud, so no stealth, unless opponent doesnt use sound! -AK is just sooooo cool to look at when used by a Terrorist cuz its held at the waist. But come on, its a rifle! It says, "I'm so good I don't need it at shoulder height to aim!" ...unlike those military-trained CT guys who take the style out of using the AK. 	-[POT]-WeedM@$tA 07:40 31/7/2001	GLOCK V USP- sod the glock, sod the usp, the one pistol that you didnt mention is THE best one......the Sig P228, its VERY accurate and does good damage, and whats more, both T's and CT's can buy this, so forget the deagle, go for the P228. AK V COLT- i have tried for a good while now to "get good" with an ak but every time i use it i usualy am the one dead , not so with a colt, as i can rush like a maniac and with this gun you can take on multiple people at once the recoil on the ak is terrible and for someone to get a HS on you from miles away is infuriating, sure, the colt can do the same, but at least you dont end up firing every bullet, then check your opponents health and he's still got 100hp the AK is, in my opinion, only suited to tight corridors where it you can do a full auto, Noobs, who somehow can run round and HS without even aiming properly, just holding down the fire button in short, i luv P228, i luv Colt carbine i hate glock, i hate AK [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
	NBK 09:37 31/7/2001	If im T, id definately use the AK on SOME maps, not all, other maps u cant beat a colt (accuracy on the colt makes alot of difference) or an mp5/p90 rush (how could u not talk about the wonderfull MP5 or the P90?!) Ill talk about MP5 and P90 then! MP5 is the gun to rush with, 150 ammo, very light so u can get to places fast, not much recoil and u can take out 3 or 4 guys with 1 clip easy (if u can actually hit the head) P90 is powerfull and has large clips, so if u dont take em out quickly with a P90, while they r busy reloading their AK or colt, u nock em down with your extra 20 ammo! MP5/P90 = 1337 right the glock SUX! it is 1 of the worst guns in the game! id take a deagle or p228 over usp or glock any day, but if i had a choice between usp or glock, id take the usp cuz of its accuracy. sig or aug... definately the aug looks good, sounds good, seems more accurate and powerfull...and i think its good close range...unlike the sig which sounds crap, crap accuracy and looks crap! 	Tuna 13:00 31/7/2001	Colt is the easiest weapon by far. AKs are useless mid-range against someone with full armour as you'll get 3 shots on him at best. The greatest gun of all is the p90. Its got plenty of bullets and barely effects your running speed. You may think its weak but when it fires that many bullets that fast headshots are guarenteed. The reload is slow but the USP will take out anyone whos been weakened by a p90 in 3 shots tops. I do not reccomend the p90 for standing still people, buy a p90 if you're not bothered about staying alive this round. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

	GiNk 01:34 1/8/2001	Well i find ct clearly have advantage in pistols. Most of the time in clan matches i find all t's have deagle whereas most cts have usp and like one ct has a deagle also. You'd be surpirsed how mnay times the usp wins over deagle. Infact one vs one they are very evenly matched. Deagle with the power usp with accuracy and 12 bullets in a clip. Glock rofl..i never get any kills with a glock a glock kill is so rare i wonder why. Shoot 20 in their head they still alive hehe. Well anyway ct's that have usp can buy grenades or armour then also so ct definately get mega adv. in pistol round. Colt ak better for different situations....aug over the sig. And P90 is it just me or is that thing underrated? i always seem to suck in headshots with it and have more success than with the mp5. The mac 10 is way beter than the tmp becasue the mac10 is a .45 so its got much more power and if you use it right it can be as deadly as an ak with its high rate of fire. 	(^.^)N00bZ 07:19 1/8/2001	Wen i first read your guide... I thought you were a fricking idiot 1st. Glock vs. Usp Glock does like 5-10 damage per shot. It's crap. The only good thing about it is the 20 shot clip and the easier headshots. However, the USP does about 25 dmg per shot. That's about 4 USP bullets to about 10 Glock bullets.. U do the math. Second, TMP and MAC-10 both suck ballz unless ur fooling around so they don't even count. If you come at me with a TMP or a MAC-10, I'll kill u with anything (cept a glock =D) Third, Sig and Aug. Both are good.. I think these r even. Colt and Ak- People who love the colt do so because they have not mastered the AK. However, they are still very even, but AK's a little better in the end. Close Range: AK and Colt are almost the same, but AK does more damage per bullet and it doesn't matter how messed up the aim gets, ur frickin next to him. AK is better close range. Mid Range: This is where you test whether u have mastered the AK. If you are really good with AK, you can take out a person with a colt in 4 shots. 2 shot burst, then another quick 2 shot burst. However, Colt is really good in mid range, because you can hold it, and still hit people. Also, if you miss the first shot with the AK, you're done for. So the midrange battle goes to the colt cuz its easier to use. Long Range: AK is way betta. Colt is not strong enuf to kill a person in 2 bursts. You need 3 2 shot bursts to kill with colt. However, with ak 2 bursts do the trick. Also, AK's crosshair gets smaller quicker, so the bursts come out consecutively. That's why I think AK is better. However, this is assuming that the AK was used by a machine that has perfected the use of the AK. If done by an amateur, the colt is better because it is pretty accurate in most places.. that's it... 	AssFire 07:23 1/8/2001	Hua! the five-seven is by far the best pistol in game.. it's got a 20 round clip, enough to take out 2-3 people without reloading... and the reload is fast anyway =) it's precision is great and it's fun to crouch-jump like a maniac with. Fiveseven is pretty lame, it costs $750 + $100 for ammo and the reload is 4.5 seconds, double the time it takes to reload a Desert Eagle... while it's good to be able to move and shoot the desert eagle can kill with like two or three shots but the fiveseven is about as powerful as a usp, so it takes alot more shots to kill someone... From best to worst the pistols are (IMO) 1. Desert Eagle 2. P228 3. USP 4. Five Seven 5. Glock 6. Berreta Elites Sig 552 rox AUG for burst-fire accuracy when zoomed in, but steyr AUG you get near perfect accuracy first 2 shots... AK is better than a Colt 'cause you can buy a grenade or a Deagle with the extra cash, once you get good with the AK you can murder people from miles away with burst fire, AK is better than the Scout for sniping, easily... MP5 is the superior sub... most accurate except the UMP, fast reload, good damage, good ROF and you can fire a whole clip fully auto and you will still be hitting them at the end... can't do that with a P90! 	[\|)es]G(\|deExp()rt 15:03 1/8/2001	Hi guys, I got the impression that 60-70% of all pistol rounds are won by the Cts, so much for the USP vs Glock matches, although it is quite easy to have headshots in burst mode. Most people just dont use it this way. I think the only real inequality between the teams is created by Colt and AK47. This is because the Colt is simply too easy to use. It has little recoil in medium ranges and even new people can take out 1 or two opponents fairly easy with it. To be good with AK47, one has to practice a lot and adjust his style of playing to burst shots. Otherwise one's scores are REALLY bad. In auto, one hits virtually nothing in medium to far ranges. And in close combat AK47 and Colt are equal. Just try to kill two people that are a couple of meters apart, while holding down the fire button. You will see the difference. 	$uiCiDaL-B@T!g0d 18:56 1/8/2001	Well..this has been very interesting....what we can tell from all this is that everyone has different taste in what weapons they feel most comfortable with. So without shouting and calling anyone name (like mr NBK) I will give my point of view...remeber this is only how i feel comfortable playing. Pistols: I started off always buying d-eagles...but i have now changed to a usp...I find the glock incredibly poor power wise....and although the d-eagle can kill almost instantly i like the power and accuracy of the USP and the rate of fire is excellent...in a fire fight you can run circles round anyone with a deagle takin all their health off while they wildly miss you...and if all else fails there's always yer knife Colt vs AK: Some of you are quite right..it takes skill and alot of practice to use the AK...but...even though it is more powerfull than the colt and yes long distance accuracy is excellent (btw i do not play to kill with headshots) the colt more than makes up for this with its close and mid range....And it isn't a slouch long range either...I find i can kill multiple targets at long distance very easily..whilst running circles round anyone with an AK at close range...AK man is usually dead and I haven't even been hit...I think the colt wins easily.... SIG and AUG: I used to love the sig and h8 the aug but my opinions have now changed...The Aug is one of my fave guns in cs now...It is superbly accurate from range as long as you burst carefully...and it seems more powerful than a sig..also in close range battles it is superb ..almost matching a colt...the sig sprays bullets all over the show and if ur not spot on on target does s***e all.....the only down point to the aug (i personally think its ugly) is the longer reload....but i try for one of these and a usp... I also like mp5's because they are nicely accurate and have loads of ammo..you can rattle off clips in quick succession and hold ur own in a firefight... I also noticed that no1 here has mentioned the para....I know many people don't like it but i love goin on Para rampages...You just hold on fire and run circles round everyone...you can shoot through walls and boxes and as long as you manage to not get hit you can take up multiple enemies in one clip without your teammates aid....Its cracking good fun... What always p***ed me off about the usp is that you're limited to 48 bullets and have to pick up opponents guns, when you run out of ammo. The glock18 is a nice gun, stop saying it's useless! In burst fire mode, you can take out 2-3 guys with headshots, easily. It is also a great gun to use when you run out of ammo with your primary weapon, because of its accuracy. About the Mp5Navy.. It is the best gun around for rushing. Colt vs AK? Guys, guys.. Stop comparing these guns, it's as lame as comparing TMP to PARA. These guns are for different purposes. 	kunimaru 05:28 9/8/2001	If me and my mates are terrorists, we buy armour for the first round, use glocks and some of use buy desert eagles as back up...Shoot em with ur glock then ur mates shoots them with their eagles from behind of you..dead counter t's. If we are ct's we buy armour for and some of us buy grenades to whittle down the terrrorists. With their weak glocks our armored gusy finishes them off with their usp's and then our armorless guys back them up from behind. we love using 2-1, and 3-5 in our place, if u get hit by a 2-1, you're life will definitely be below 50 or precariously under 25, then with ourback ups, UMP, FNP, carbine, or AK will finish the job. 	Evil Person 13:55 20/10/2001	I think the Glock is the ultimate crap gun now, it was more accurate in 7.1, back then I used it to snipe in the first round, now it's weak and although the accuracy is very "fixed", it will now be killed by someone crouching with another pistol, going for your chest. You'll win if they try to take cover, since a glock hits slows them down. The Aug fires much slower while zoomed, and it's no good that way since only the first shot is a sure hit. however, the sustained fire close up is one of the most accurate. The sig however, you can use for two-round bursts in zoom, making it deadly as hell. Not as good up-close The M4 is just as accurate with or without silencer, i did a little test and saw no difference. The silencer removes the muzzle flash, though, making aiming much easier. (and adding STEALTH!) I use it rather than the AK, although lots of peeople will disagree. I guess they are equalt as well I've done some really nice things with the TMP lately, but the Mac10 is the next fastest firing gun in CS, just fire a magazine through a smoke grenade or go up close and jumping. They are pretty even. The five-seven is good but expensive, this is my new sniping pistol. like a Glock but better at a massive price. The Elites rule pistol fights, just aim below the guy and get a firing rythm going, don't fire as fast as possible, but just a bit under that. Circling is good you have more ammo, don't get caught reloading. No one mentioned the shotguns! I think M3 should be a little better. You can't kill people with full health and armour with it! Although someone hurt or without armour will die instantly. It's also extremely cool, unlike the XM, which as we all know chews people up at close range. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

Its easy to use and have a good accuracy. they are the best 'newbie' weapons......But after play Cs for few month I begin to learn ak47. It's hard to use but later on I begin to master it. and now I loooooovvvve ak47 so much. my frag boost up when I use ak then mp5 or colt. I killed about 271 enemy in 2 hours lan game just with this ak.... In close range, go full auto and aim for the feet !!!! I know this is little weird but try this!! you will kill enemy faster then you know. In middle or far range just tap your mouse button. hit the enemy once by once. This needs practice, but when you master it......wow!!!! I haven't seen anybody live after 4 ak shot....and ak is the cheapest rifle in the game.....so practice with ak and you will know that this rifle is the best in the game!!!! RM- is right, the glock pretty much rules over the USP. -one 3-shot burst to the head will kill while it takes 2 USP headshots to kill (unless you're pointblank). -the glock is more accurate, fires faster, and i'm pretty sure it reloads faster. -good dodging techniques could leave your opponent out of USP rounds while you'd have about 8 glock rounds left in your clip (and a knife to back that up). -it fires like a shotgun since its bullets spread out, making it MUCH easier to get a headshot than the USP. Basically, the glock is MUCH better in QCBs but the USP is better for long distances meerely because it's power doesn't diminish as much as the glock over a distance. but how hard is it to wait with a glock around a corner for your opponent to come to you? The usp is faster and it has more in a clip, if the player with the usp hs enough brains to move while the deagle user is shootin' he can simply w8 until bullet #4 and run in with a kill. Secondly, in my opinion (which is all it is) the colt is generally a better weapon.. altho' it isnt as cheap as the AK i find it is far easier to get a hs with at long range. 	Bun-Bun 20:36 6/8/2002	Ok, Here is my pistol ranking and people are gonna think I'm nutz on this but here goes. 1. USP 2. SiggyPistol 3. Dual Elites 4. Deagle 5. 57 6. Glock There's a reason cts win pistol rounds most the time. Its because they dont have to waste money on a gun, because they have the ebst gun. They can buy nades or armo to give them the advantage. USP headshots like crazy. Same with siggy pistol, which is incredibly powerful and it pierces armor. Dual Elites can be fired as fast an mp5 if you know how, and prefer them over all pistols and close to medium range. Also they have the large clip. The only reason they aren't number 1 is because they suck long range and slow to reload. Deagle is powerful, but it lost its accuracy and the clip is jsut to small. 57 and glock are accurate I'll admit, but when you dont do much damage its tough to win. Ok, now on to smgs. 1. mp5 2. mac10 3. ump 4. p90 5. tmp Everyone knows the mp5 is the best. It is incredibly accurate, goin full auto, does decent dammage and thats all you need. Tmp is only good if you anticipate opponents without armor or helmet. However it is pretty accurate and eats up people without armor. P90 shoots fast but unless you rush, your gonna have some serious accuracy issues. Mac10 is by far the coolest gun in the game. It fires quickly and does good damage. It is wildly inaccurate though. Headshots happen with that gun though which is nice. Ump is a slow version of the mp5, but does a bit mroe damge. Also less accurate. Rifles, I'm gonna include snipers in there too 1. Awp 2. AK 3. Colt 4. Aug 5. Sig 6. Scout 7. CT sniper 8. T sniper Ok if you dont think awp is the best gun in the game, Go home. Don't complain about awpwhores. I personally dont like to whore with the awp. I'll use it for a few rounds, but I dont like people who make it their main gun. But 1 shot 1 kill, cant beat it. Long as you dont move, you have no problems. Just dont knee cap people, nothin worse that doing 80 something damage to a guy cuz you hit him in the leg. AK is the next best gun in the game. Long range it is more accurate than colt. The key is the burst which you should do with your rifles anyways. Also, a technique someone mentioned earlier, "grounding". This solves the problem of the AK recoil. Aim at people's feet when using the ak and lets the gun kick up at them. Colt is annoying because it sprays side to side while ak is sprays up. Therefore grounding solves this problem. Colt is the best ct weapon. Highly accurate, good for sniping, easy to use, a great gun. And the silencer can be useful. Aug is most accurate gun so it beats the sig. Smallest crosshairs. More powerful than sig I think too. Sig is nice in sniper mode but not as good as the aug is in general. Scout is the poor mans awp, but you can run with it, one fo the lightest guns in the game. More accurate than awp also. 2 shots to kill unless you can headshot. Definitely great to learn how to snipe. Ok the last 2 sniper guns just suck. They are for newbies who have money and wanna buy something expensive, or people who just wanna mess around. Horriblly inaccurate, dont do as much damage as they should, The CT one is slightly better, with a better reload time. I wont touch the shotguns. And the para is too expensive Ok, I went through all the guns. Criticize me, b***h at me, do whatever. I would prefer any constructive advice or if people think my info is wrong about damage and piercing capabilities etc. One thing we can do is agree to disagree though. 	sunday feb 2, 2003 21:36 2/2/2003	the best pistol in the game, in my opinion, is the glock. it may not be very powerful and we all know, or good at a long range, but it has zero recoil and it shoots as fast as you can press fire. even though the burst fire is useless, the regular fire is actually quite good. since it has no recoil, in the hands of a good player, it is the best mid to short range gun in the game. if you have good accuracy you can aim for the head every time and hit it. it also has a wierd effect on the target when you hit them; it stops them from walking. this means that if you come up behind them and fire, you can actually run circles around them to keep out of their view, and you must stay out of their view because they can still turn and shoot normal, and keep them at a deadly range for the glock. it can also carry the most ammo and has the biggest clip and if you have a glock and most smgs you can buy all your ammo at once. it is also one of the cheapest guns. so i think everyone should try the glock especially if you have good accuracy because that is the recipe for many head shots. We stick to the default pistols. As a matter of fact, I personall think the glock is way better than the usp, since in burst-fire mode you can get a guy with one or two shots, depending on how good you are. Aside from that, the only other good pistol is the DEagle. The rest are too much of a bother. SMGs? Forget the them all ,except for the MP-5. The rest are crap. You can use the MP-5 close-range and middle-range way better than the other SMGs. In fact, you can beat another player, who is trying to kill you long-range with a rifle, with your 3-1. The Aug vs the Sig? The Aug wins. None of my team members buy the zoom-enabled rifles, but when we do, we go for the Aug. You see, in Counter-Strike, it depends on you, not the gun. You can get a guy long-range with your 4-3 or 4-1 rather than the 4-2 and 4-4, because you hit him whether you can see him closer or not with the zoom. The zoom is useless on these guns. But the Aug wins for power, accuracy and ROF. Ak vs. Colt? This depends on a lot of factors. The Ak beats the Colt close-range, middle-range, and long-range if you know how to use it well. But the Colt has the capabilities of stealth with its silencer. And who's the bozo who said the silencer does not increase accuracy? Major newbie, I guess. Sniping? I'd go for the AWM. Sniping is an art. Plus, I am the team sniper. The Scout is very good too, once again, if you know how to use it. I can beat a guy with an AWM with my Scout. 	G\|2E3N \|)r@g()n 22:37 7/7/2001	Personally i think you've got it wrong, i prefer usp soooooo much more over glock because glock is incredibly weak and not as accurate, usp is stronger and more accurate so you don't need the extra 8 shots, you can get 1 shot in the head and get a kill with usp, you can't really do that with glock, its not strong enough. I do agree on tmp though. I do agree on the tie between aug on and sig...yet for some reason i feel more comfortable and do a bit better with the sig. I disagree with the ak over colt(carbine). Colt is more accurate and much more quiet when equipped with sliencer. If there's a battle where you come from behind with Ak then there is 1 guard guarding the back, and you kill with Ak, where do you think the other team is going to go, wheer they heard that shot of course, they aren't dumb(unless they are n00bies of course), if you did the same thing with Colt with sliencer, it's more accurate and they won't hear the shots asd well, it'll blend in perfectly with the othr shots the other team is hearing. Its got plenty of bullets and barely effects your running speed. You may think its weak but when it fires that many bullets that fast headshots are guarenteed. The reload is slow but the USP will take out anyone whos been weakened by a p90 in 3 shots tops. You'd be surpirsed how mnay times the usp wins over deagle. Infact one vs one they are very evenly matched. Deagle with the power usp with accuracy and 12 bullets in a clip. Glock rofl..i never get any kills with a glock a glock kill is so rare i wonder why. Shoot 20 in their head they still alive hehe. Well anyway ct's that have usp can buy grenades or armour then also so ct definately get mega adv. in pistol round. Colt ak better for different situations....aug over the sig. And P90 is it just me or is that thing underrated? i always seem to suck in headshots with it and have more success than with the mp5. The only good thing about it is the 20 shot clip and the easier headshots. However, the USP does about 25 dmg per shot. That's about 4 USP bullets to about 10 Glock bullets.. U do the math. Second, TMP and MAC-10 both suck ballz unless ur fooling around so they don't even count. If you come at me with a TMP or a MAC-10, I'll kill u with anything (cept a glock =D) Third, Sig and Aug. Both are good.. I think these r even. Colt and Ak- People who love the colt do so because they have not mastered the AK. However, they are still very even, but AK's a little better in the end. Close Range: AK and Colt are almost the same, but AK does more damage per bullet and it doesn't matter how messed up the aim gets, ur frickin next to him. AK is better close range. Mid Range: This is where you test whether u have mastered the AK. If you are really good with AK, you can take out a person with a colt in 4 shots. 2 shot burst, then another quick 2 shot burst. However, Colt is really good in mid range, because you can hold it, and still hit people. Also, if you miss the first shot with the AK, you're done for. So the midrange battle goes to the colt cuz its easier to use. Long Range: AK is way betta. Colt is not strong enuf to kill a person in 2 bursts. You need 3 2 shot bursts to kill with colt. However, with ak 2 bursts do the trick. Also, AK's crosshair gets smaller quicker, so the bursts come out consecutively. That's why I think AK is better. However, this is assuming that the AK was used by a machine that has perfected the use of the AK. If done by an amateur, the colt is better because it is pretty accurate in most places.. that's it... Fiveseven is pretty lame, it costs $750 + $100 for ammo and the reload is 4.5 seconds, double the time it takes to reload a Desert Eagle... while it's good to be able to move and shoot the desert eagle can kill with like two or three shots but the fiveseven is about as powerful as a usp, so it takes alot more shots to kill someone... From best to worst the pistols are (IMO) 1. Desert Eagle 2. P228 3. USP 4. Five Seven 5. Glock 6. Berreta Elites Sig 552 rox AUG for burst-fire accuracy when zoomed in, but steyr AUG you get near perfect accuracy first 2 shots... AK is better than a Colt 'cause you can buy a grenade or a Deagle with the extra cash, once you get good with the AK you can murder people from miles away with burst fire, AK is better than the Scout for sniping, easily... MP5 is the superior sub... most accurate except the UMP, fast reload, good damage, good ROF and you can fire a whole clip fully auto and you will still be hitting them at the end... can't do that with a P90! 	[\|)es]G(\|deExp()rt 15:03 1/8/2001	Hi guys, I got the impression that 60-70% of all pistol rounds are won by the Cts, so much for the USP vs Glock matches, although it is quite easy to have headshots in burst mode. Most people just dont use it this way. I think the only real inequality between the teams is created by Colt and AK47. This is because the Colt is simply too easy to use. It has little recoil in medium ranges and even new people can take out 1 or two opponents fairly easy with it. To be good with AK47, one has to practice a lot and adjust his style of playing to burst shots. Otherwise one's scores are REALLY bad. In auto, one hits virtually nothing in medium to far ranges. And in close combat AK47 and Colt are equal. Just try to kill two people that are a couple of meters apart, while holding down the fire button. You will see the difference. So without shouting and calling anyone name (like mr NBK) I will give my point of view...remeber this is only how i feel comfortable playing. Pistols: I started off always buying d-eagles...but i have now changed to a usp...I find the glock incredibly poor power wise....and although the d-eagle can kill almost instantly i like the power and accuracy of the USP and the rate of fire is excellent...in a fire fight you can run circles round anyone with a deagle takin all their health off while they wildly miss you...and if all else fails there's always yer knife Colt vs AK: Some of you are quite right..it takes skill and alot of practice to use the AK...but...even though it is more powerfull than the colt and yes long distance accuracy is excellent (btw i do not play to kill with headshots) the colt more than makes up for this with its close and mid range....And it isn't a slouch long range either...I find i can kill multiple targets at long distance very easily..whilst running circles round anyone with an AK at close range...AK man is usually dead and I haven't even been hit...I think the colt wins easily.... SIG and AUG: I used to love the sig and h8 the aug but my opinions have now changed...The Aug is one of my fave guns in cs now...It is superbly accurate from range as long as you burst carefully...and it seems more powerful than a sig..also in close range battles it is superb ..almost matching a colt...the sig sprays bullets all over the show and if ur not spot on on target does s***e all.....the only down point to the aug (i personally think its ugly) is the longer reload....but i try for one of these and a usp... I also like mp5's because they are nicely accurate and have loads of ammo..you can rattle off clips in quick succession and hold ur own in a firefight... I also noticed that no1 here has mentioned the para....I know many people don't like it but i love goin on Para rampages...You just hold on fire and run circles round everyone...you can shoot through walls and boxes and as long as you manage to not get hit you can take up multiple enemies in one clip without your teammates aid....Its cracking good fun... 	Evil Person 13:55 20/10/2001	I think the Glock is the ultimate crap gun now, it was more accurate in 7.1, back then I used it to snipe in the first round, now it's weak and although the accuracy is very "fixed", it will now be killed by someone crouching with another pistol, going for your chest. You'll win if they try to take cover, since a glock hits slows them down. The Aug fires much slower while zoomed, and it's no good that way since only the first shot is a sure hit. however, the sustained fire close up is one of the most accurate. The sig however, you can use for two-round bursts in zoom, making it deadly as hell. Not as good up-close The M4 is just as accurate with or without silencer, i did a little test and saw no difference. The silencer removes the muzzle flash, though, making aiming much easier. (and adding STEALTH!) I use it rather than the AK, although lots of peeople will disagree. I guess they are equalt as well I've done some really nice things with the TMP lately, but the Mac10 is the next fastest firing gun in CS, just fire a magazine through a smoke grenade or go up close and jumping. They are pretty even. The five-seven is good but expensive, this is my new sniping pistol. like a Glock but better at a massive price. The Elites rule pistol fights, just aim below the guy and get a firing rythm going, don't fire as fast as possible, but just a bit under that. Circling is good you have more ammo, don't get caught reloading. No one mentioned the shotguns! I think M3 should be a little better. You can't kill people with full health and armour with it! Its easy to use and have a good accuracy. they are the best 'newbie' weapons......But after play Cs for few month I begin to learn ak47. It's hard to use but later on I begin to master it. and now I loooooovvvve ak47 so much. my frag boost up when I use ak then mp5 or colt. I killed about 271 enemy in 2 hours lan game just with this ak.... In close range, go full auto and aim for the feet !!!! I know this is little weird but try this!! you will kill enemy faster then you know. In middle or far range just tap your mouse button. hit the enemy once by once. This needs practice, but when you master it......wow!!!! I haven't seen anybody live after 4 ak shot....and ak is the cheapest rifle in the game.....so practice with ak and you will know that this rifle is the best in the game!!!! RM- is right, the glock pretty much rules over the USP. -one 3-shot burst to the head will kill while it takes 2 USP headshots to kill (unless you're pointblank). -the glock is more accurate, fires faster, and i'm pretty sure it reloads faster. -good dodging techniques could leave your opponent out of USP rounds while you'd have about 8 glock rounds left in your clip (and a knife to back that up). -it fires like a shotgun since its bullets spread out, making it MUCH easier to get a headshot than the USP. The usp is faster and it has more in a clip, if the player with the usp hs enough brains to move while the deagle user is shootin' he can simply w8 until bullet #4 and run in with a kill. Secondly, in my opinion (which is all it is) the colt is generally a better weapon.. altho' it isnt as cheap as the AK i find it is far easier to get a hs with at long range. 	Bun-Bun 20:36 6/8/2002	Ok, Here is my pistol ranking and people are gonna think I'm nutz on this but here goes. 1. USP 2. SiggyPistol 3. Dual Elites 4. Deagle 5. 57 6. Glock There's a reason cts win pistol rounds most the time. Its because they dont have to waste money on a gun, because they have the ebst gun. They can buy nades or armo to give them the advantage. USP headshots like crazy. Same with siggy pistol, which is incredibly powerful and it pierces armor. Dual Elites can be fired as fast an mp5 if you know how, and prefer them over all pistols and close to medium range. Also they have the large clip. The only reason they aren't number 1 is because they suck long range and slow to reload. Deagle is powerful, but it lost its accuracy and the clip is jsut to small. 57 and glock are accurate I'll admit, but when you dont do much damage its tough to win. Ok, now on to smgs. 1. mp5 2. mac10 3. ump 4. p90 5. tmp Everyone knows the mp5 is the best. It is incredibly accurate, goin full auto, does decent dammage and thats all you need. Tmp is only good if you anticipate opponents without armor or helmet. However it is pretty accurate and eats up people without armor. P90 shoots fast but unless you rush, your gonna have some serious accuracy issues. Mac10 is by far the coolest gun in the game. It fires quickly and does good damage. It is wildly inaccurate though. Headshots happen with that gun though which is nice. Ump is a slow version of the mp5, but does a bit mroe damge. Also less accurate. Rifles, I'm gonna include snipers in there too 1. Awp 2. AK 3. Colt 4. Aug 5. Sig 6. Scout 7. CT sniper 8. T sniper Ok if you dont think awp is the best gun in the game, Go home. Don't complain about awpwhores. I personally dont like to whore with the awp. I'll use it for a few rounds, but I dont like people who make it their main gun. But 1 shot 1 kill, cant beat it. Long as you dont move, you have no problems. Just dont knee cap people, nothin worse that doing 80 something damage to a guy cuz you hit him in the leg. AK is the next best gun in the game. Long range it is more accurate than colt. The key is the burst which you should do with your rifles anyways. Also, a technique someone mentioned earlier, "grounding". This solves the problem of the AK recoil. Aim at people's feet when using the ak and lets the gun kick up at them. Colt is annoying because it sprays side to side while ak is sprays up. Therefore grounding solves this problem. Colt is the best ct weapon. Highly accurate, good for sniping, easy to use, a great gun. And the silencer can be useful. Aug is most accurate gun so it beats the sig. Smallest crosshairs. More powerful than sig I think too. Sig is nice in sniper mode but not as good as the aug is in general. Scout is the poor mans awp, but you can run with it, one fo the lightest guns in the game. More accurate than awp also. 2 shots to kill unless you can headshot. Definitely great to learn how to snipe. Ok the last 2 sniper guns just suck. They are for newbies who have money and wanna buy something expensive, or people who just wanna mess around. Horriblly inaccurate, dont do as much damage as they should, The CT one is slightly better, with a better reload time. I wont touch the shotguns. And the para is too expensive Ok, I went through all the guns. Criticize me, b***h at me, do whatever. I would prefer any constructive advice or if people think my info is wrong about damage and piercing capabilities etc. One thing we can do is agree to disagree though. Burst is mostly effective in close range because the stunning power from burst is undeniably incredible. HS's are made easy with a simple crouching and aim. From experience, it would be foolish to fight long-range with a pistol, knowing that pistols have SERIOUS weaknesses in range. If we postulate that pistols are meant for close-ranged fights, then the glock should be the better pistol. My prefered pistol: Desert Eagle The DE is the most damaging pistol and is the only pistol that pierces. A maximum of 4 shots guarantees a kill. If you could aim, the choice is clear. 	sunday feb 2, 2003 21:36 2/2/2003	the best pistol in the game, in my opinion, is the glock. it may not be very powerful and we all know, or good at a long range, but it has zero recoil and it shoots as fast as you can press fire. even though the burst fire is useless, the regular fire is actually quite good. since it has no recoil, in the hands of a good player, it is the best mid to short range gun in the game. if you have good accuracy you can aim for the head every time and hit it. it also has a wierd effect on the target when you hit them; it stops them from walking. this means that if you come up behind them and fire, you can actually run circles around them to keep out of their view, and you must stay out of their view because they can still turn and shoot normal, and keep them at a deadly range for the glock. it can also carry the most ammo and has the biggest clip and if you have a glock and most smgs you can buy all your ammo at once. it is also one of the cheapest guns. so i think everyone should try the glock especially if you have good accuracy because that is the recipe for many head shots. We stick to the default pistols. As a matter of fact, I personall think the glock is way better than the usp, since in burst-fire mode you can get a guy with one or two shots, depending on how good you are. Aside from that, the only other good pistol is the DEagle. The rest are too much of a bother. SMGs? Forget the them all ,except for the MP-5. The rest are crap. You can use the MP-5 close-range and middle-range way better than the other SMGs. In fact, you can beat another player, who is trying to kill you long-range with a rifle, with your 3-1. The Aug vs the Sig? The Aug wins. None of my team members buy the zoom-enabled rifles, but when we do, we go for the Aug. You see, in Counter-Strike, it depends on you, not the gun. You can get a guy long-range with your 4-3 or 4-1 rather than the 4-2 and 4-4, because you hit him whether you can see him closer or not with the zoom. The zoom is useless on these guns. But the Aug wins for power, accuracy and ROF. Ak vs. Colt? This depends on a lot of factors. The Ak beats the Colt close-range, middle-range, and long-range if you know how to use it well. But the Colt has the capabilities of stealth with its silencer. And who's the bozo who said the silencer does not increase accuracy? Major newbie, I guess. Sniping? I'd go for the AWM. Sniping is an art. Plus, I am the team sniper. The Scout is very good too, once again, if you know how to use it. I can beat a guy with an AWM with my Scout. 	nothing 02:45 4/6/2003	I don't know why you people think silencer adds to the accuracy of the m4, it doesn't, infact in makes it less stable AND less accurate. Try shooting on the wall and examine the bullet holes and you will see. i prefer the unsilenced version of m4... ak is good the first few shots, if you miss the first few shots it takes a century for it to settle again, so i prefer m4 [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
